The UK’s First LGBT River Cruise

The UK’s First LGBT River Cruise

This week it was announced that Emerald Waterways launched the first LGBT River Cruise called the ‘LGBT DANUBE EXPLORER’.

Cruising has been very popular with LGBT travellers for quite a while now particularly with the likes of Celebrity Cruises & Royal Caribbean.

Talking from a personal perspective, I would say not every gay couple wants to be on a hedonisitic style gay cruise which is what a lot of cruises are sold as. This is probably why I prefer brands such as Celebrity which offer Modern Luxury with a relaxed atmosphere on board.

However Emerald s is a whole new type of cruise with a very chic feel to it. The ship ‘Emerald Star’ has a heated indoor pool and also an evening cinema.

The itinerary really does offer something different also, visiting some of the most beautiful parts of eastern Europe. This includes Budapest, Slovakia & Vienna.

You can Immerse yourself in your own personal exploration of eastern Europe as you visit destinations steeped in history and tradition while enjoying fantastic on-board entertainment and activities. In addition to this to gaydio hosts Chris Holliday and Emma Goswell will also be broadcasting from the ship for three days.

The cruise departs on the 29th July 2017, and the price includes your return economy flights from a range of UK airports, transfers and tips are included, as well as meals and a free Premium Drinks Package worth up to £378, entitling you to unlimited free drinks on-board throughout your trip.
